Η Karol Meyer, παγκόσμια πρωταθλήτρια Ελεύθερης Κατάδυσης από την Βραζιλία, δήλωσε επίσημα την συμμετοχή της στους αγώνες σκανταλόπετρας της Λίνδου, με στόχο να κάνει ένα καινούργιο Παγκόσμιο ρεκόρ με την "πέτρα"!! Karol Meyer recently became a Guinness World Record holder with the amazing apnea of 18 minutes and 32 seconds underwater and reach the 100meters of depth at the caribean island Bonaire, achieving the 3trd best performance in the world, on varible weight discipline.
She is a legend of the sport and became famous to broke five world records two continental records and more than 30 south american records in pool and depth disciplines.
Inside her career she is also speaker, highest level of Freediver Instructor Trainer AIDA, homaged by international institutions like: * Best Freediver, Best Instructor Freediver, Special ICARE Trophie and GoOutside Athlete.
Karol Meyer spends most of her time working with oceanic preservation society - Brazilian Islands Society and other entities to protect the whales, more particular the "Franca Whales" who appear in front of the south Brazilian coast - Franca Whale Project, teaching Freediving as an instructor trainer AIDA, and also for PADI and NAUI.
She is also speaker and contributes towards fund raising for needy communities, public schools, protection against child labour programmes, and mainly for children who live in front of the sea, and have parents whose income depends directly on the sea. Karol says "Sport and deeper comprehension of nature will produce a better human, and can also open their eyes for other ways to have make living using resources from the oceans".
Always improving his activities, she created special dives, called "Freedive Adventures" where she dive with her students around the world, showing the marine beauties to the people.
She is reconized by her taming and adventurer spirit, that has sent her to amazing and most beautiful places in the world, showing the beauty of the nature and the freedivig.
"The freediver is a world on a single breath of air, moving gracefully without waist energy. Like a freediver you can spend minutes underwater and feel the ocean as no other people, visiting another dimension and become one with the sea!
